Sylvain Yao Kouassi, simply known among his teammates at Rumori Calcio and elsewhere as ‘Silvio’, is a player of JK Rakvere Tarvas.
The 27-year-old striker from Ivory Coast with Armenian passport (where his name is spelled as Silven Yao Kuassi), he was previously signed by Rumori Calcio for the Estonian Cup game against JK Poseidon Pärnu marking his official debut in Estonian Football.
However, Silvio had been training earlier with Esiliiga (second tier) club JK Rakvere Tarvas.
Still not registered and signed by Tarvas, he decided to agree terms with Rumori Calcio for the single game and help our club to perform in Pärnu.
Silvio has also had a trial at Premium Liiga club FC Infonet during the winter pre-season.
He is much appreciated both by the coach, Valeri Bondarenko (former Narva Trans) and his teammates who are looking forward to see him on the pitch helping the club securing safety.
Silvio played the full 90′ and was close to score a goal in first half when he also collected a yellow card.
Due to his speed, a player from JK Poseidon defined him ‘Usain Bolt’s lost brother’.
His debut with JK Rakvere Tarvas is set for this Sunday at 19:00 in Rakvere City Stadium against JK Vändra Vaprus.
However, according to Estonian Cup rules, he will not be able to represent Tarvas for the upcoming cup game (11th of August against Ambla Vallameeskond).
All Rumori Calcio members wish Silvio a successful career in Estonian football!
